PelicanHost Terms of Service

This terms of service is effective as of 11/28/2024. Additions or removals can be made to this document at any time, with or without notice from Pelicanhost. However, we will notify users of significant changes to our terms of service.

Welcome to PelicanHost! We are a server hosting service. These terms of service constitute a legal agreement between you and Pelicanhost, allowing you to use our services.

The user of our platform is enforced here by these terms. Disagreements of our terms are not allowed on our site.

1. Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old or have permission from a parent or guardian to use our services
  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • You must keep your account credentials secure and confidential

2. Account Termination

  • PelicanHost reserves the right to terminate your account without notice if you violate these terms
  • Upon termination all data on your account will be deleted

3. Billing and Payments

  • All payments are due in advance and are non-refundable, except when outlined in our refund policy
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if a payment is overdue
  • You agree to pay all fees associated with your account

4. Fair Usage Policy

PelicanHost provides Unlimited CPU "Limit" for all customers. However, abuse of CPU limit includes, but is not limited to, running tasks that excessively consume resources for extended periods of time or violate our Prohibited Activities Policy. Abuse of this will result in a capped CPU limit.

Customers will be notified when their server has been CPU limit capped. Users can contact our support team if their CPU cap can be revoked.

5. Service Usage

You agree that when you use PelicanHost, you do not use services that are harmful to our servers, network, or other users. You are responsible for what is on your server.

6. Prohibited Activities

  • Distributing illegal software through our services
  • Using excessive server resources that degrade the performance for users
  • Launching (DDOS "Distributed Denial of Service") attacks to our server
  • Hosting malware, viruses, or any harmful software

7. Refund Policy

Refunds are only issued for the first payment made by a new customer if they cancel within the first 24 hours of the initial purchase. Refunds will not be issued during renewals.
